Dirk Luff is a senior legal advisor to Claims Funding Australia, the litigation funding arm and wholly owned subsidiary of Maurice Blackburn. He is a Principal Lawyer in the Melbourne office of Maurice Blackburn.

Dirk has more than 17 years of experience in commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, including domestic and international arbitration and mediation. Dirk also has a strong foundation in financial mathematics.

Prior to joining Maurice Blackburn, Dirk worked at Corrs Chambers Westgarth specialising in construction and infrastructure disputes. Dirk has acted on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants and has extensive experience in managing large scale and complex disputes. Dirk has worked on a number of significant arbitrations and litigious matters, including arbitral proceedings in respect of the $26bn QCLNG project, arbitral proceedings in respect of the $400m Bass Gas project and litigation in the Supreme Court of Victoria in respect of the Minerva Gas project.

Since joining Maurice Blackburn, Dirk has advised Claims Funding Australia in relation to a broad range of funded matters, including class actions, family and trust disputes, claims against directors and auditors, voidable transaction claims and other insolvency-related claims.

Dirk graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2004, where he obtained a double degree in Law and Science, majoring in Financial Mathematics.
